Nick Mamatas is a middle-aged Greek of a little under average height. As a teen, he enjoyed listening to Pleased to Meet Me by The Replacements. As a socialist, he enjoys not-voting for republicans or democrats, the other republicans. As an internet stereotype, he gets in arguments in online message boards a lot. Ah, but as a person – as a person, he shines with an inner light greater than that of the most incandescent of halogen light bulbs.
Nick has published two novels, Northern Gothic and Move Under Ground (both nominated for Bram Stoker awards). A third, entitled Under My Roof, is forthcoming. He’s the editor of Clarkesworld Magazine (http://www.clarkesworldmagazine.com/), and he even has his own Wikipedia entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Mamatas, which gives details of these and other projects.
