This week we have the first two stories from Igor Tepper’s Thought Experiments: An Abecedary: A is for Aliby and B is for Brand. The whole collection is astounding, and these two are no exception. Enjoy!
I’m behind on slush (sorry guys) and have to start focusing on getting the next issue of the magazine out. As such, I’m closing submissions for the moment. They should open again sometime around 8/1/06. Everyone who’s submitted should receive a response before or near the 30-day timeframe we usually try and hit.

This week there are three poems up at the magazine. All three are by Claudia Emerson, and all three are nearly perfect. They are also profound in a way that resonates well regardless of the breadth of your exposure to other poems. I mean, they’re enjoyable to read. And that’s Real Good (TM).
Writeup about Son and Foe today in the local newspaper(!). Neat. They focused on our UMW connection, which is understandable as they a local paper. Check it.
