A Picture a Day by Jeremiah Sturgill, posted on November 30, 2006 | Comments (0)

Good old Olde English. I can always count on them for a good laugh. Usually, anyway–there are a few stinkers. But I won’t link to them. That wouldn’t be nice.

One Picture Every Day is one of the good ones. Enjoy.

“The Case of the Missing Flower Pot” now available @ Son and Foe by Jeremiah Sturgill, posted on November 27, 2006 | Comments (0)

The latest story from issue 4 of S&F is up: “The Case of the Missing Flower Pot” by Bruce Holland Rogers. This one is a blast, and one of my favorite stories from the issue. I’m a big fan of mystery shows on TV, and I love picking up old copies of Ellery Queen; this little “mystery” has a unique tone all its own, and is a lot of fun.

“Indeed.” She poured. She asked the ritual questions, though she already knew that he took his tea with milk and sugar. She squeezed a bit of lemon into her own tea. She sipped, then fixed Robert with her gaze. The cup was tiny in his big hands. He didn’t hold it correctly, though he seemed oblivious of this and, indeed, looked utterly at ease. “I believe we have established,” she said, “that you subscribe to a theory of life after death.”

A short story about ghosts and daffodils. First published in Son and Foe issue #4.

Happy Turkey Day by Jeremiah Sturgill, posted on November 23, 2006 | Comments (0)

The title says it all. I hope you’re all able to eat too much and enjoy the family. For me, it’s time to hit the sack.

New Story Available at Son and Foe by Jeremiah Sturgill, posted on November 20, 2006 | Comments (0)

A new story is up at Son and Foe: “Sunday, 10:15” by John Kuhn.

As you may have noticed, I’ve inadvertently taken a mini-hiatus of my own. Today, hopefully, marks my return to more regular updates. In case you’re wondering, I’m now at 90,000 words with my debut, breakout, probably - not - going - to - sell - anywhere first novel, and hope to be finished with the first draft before the end of the month.

Huzzah!
